OMIClear, as authorised Central Counterparty (CCP) under EMIR, has the constant concern to be equipped with a comprehensive set of tools for managing:

Information Security and, in particular, Cybersecurity, in order to ensure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of its information technology systems and the information for which OMIClear is responsible (whether produced internally or entrusted within its role);

Business Continuity, in order to ensure an adequate response to any disruptive incident or disaster that affects people, material assets, information and/or business processes which support its activities, thereby minimizing potential negative impacts of such situations for the organization, its people, its business functions and for all participants and external links within the financial infrastructure as well.
Information Security is defined by the practices that make it possible to ensure that the information under the responsibility of an organisation is only accessed or modified, during its storage, processing or transmission, by the authorised individuals, entities or systems. These practices include the necessary measures to detect, document and respond to threats to integrity, availability and confidentiality of information. Cybersecurity is defined as information security in the Cyberspace.
Business continuity is defined by the capability of an organization to continue deliverying of products or services, at acceptable predefined levels, following a disruptive incident.
To that end, OMIClear has implemented an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), based on international reference standards. These management systems aim to establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve information security and business continuity in OMIClear, ensuring the compliance of the legal requirements that OMIClear is obliged within the framework of its activity on the market.
